"Gesichert werden bei den Banken .... Guthaben, ... die sich im Rahmen von Bankgeschäften aus Beträgen, die auf einem Konto verblieben sind, oder aus **Zwischenpositionen** ergeben und von der Bank nach den geltenden gesetzlichen und vertraglichen Bedingungen zurückzuzahlen sind (Einlagen)."

Nach RICHTLINIE 94/19/EG DES EUROPÄISCHEN PARLAMENTS UND DES RATES
vom 30. Mai 1994 (Einlagensicherung)

Einlage: ein Guthaben, das sich aus auf einem Konto verbliebenen Beträgen oder aus Zwischenpositionen im Rahmen von normalen Bankgeschäften ergibt und vom Kreditinstitut nach den geltenden gesetzlichen und vertraglichen Bedingungen zurückzuzahlen ist, sowie Forderungen, die das Kreditinstitut durch Ausstellung einer Urkunde verbrieft hat.

‘deposit’ shall mean any credit balance which results from funds left in an account or from temporary situations deriving from normal banking transactions and which a credit institution must repay under the legal and contractual conditions applicable, and any debt evidenced by a certificate issued by a credit institution.
