In an interview with a bulldozer operator, commenting on a new bulldozer: "Ich finde sie gut für Planung zu schieben und ich finde sie auch gut um mit Boden jetzt bei zu arbeiten weil die Maschine jetzt auch ruhiger läuft." Or "Wenn man Planungen am schieben ist, bekommt man eine ruhige Auflage der Maschine."

The phrasing is unidiomatic ("gut für Planung zu schieben") and it was probably not uttered by a German native speaker.
ruhige Auflage: I've found some references in connection with planing wood. It seems to suggest a smooth/steady cutting/shaving motion.

agree  Steffen Walter: Planung -> Planum/Planie // Reply to Daniel: I wouldn't use 'planing' because this term is more commonly used in the context of (road) pavements such as asphalt ('Fräsen'), whereas this Q refers to earth-moving operations/earthworks.
