One of my strongest qualities is my close connection to the Spanish, French and English languages and cultures, as a result of extended periods of living and studying in countries like Uruguay, Argentina, France, Switzerland, Ireland and the United States of America.

As you can see from my resume, I have a Master of Arts in Translation Option: Specialized Translation (Spanish, French, English) from the University of Geneva (School of Translation and Interpretation - ETI) and a diploma of Sworn Translator (FR-ES) from the University of the Uruguayan Republic (UDELAR). After having worked in Europe for some five years now (Switzerland, France and Ireland), I recently moved to the United States, Washington DC. Nowadays, I am working as a freelance translator for several private clients and international organizations (e.g. WIPO, Geneva-Switzerland) and also NGOs (e.g. Enfants du Monde, Geneva-CH; Quartiers du Monde, Paris-France).

In all the countries I lived I studied and worked as a freelance translator, a Spanish and French teacher and as a trilingual assistant. As a professional translator, I translate documents and other material from English into Spanish, Spanish into French and French into Spanish; I read and rewrite material in specified language (taking into account grammar, syntax, spelling, word meanings, punctuation, etc.). I have the ability to pay attention to detail and to work quickly to meet deadlines. The range of computer packages I have mastered includes MS office, many computer-assisted translation systems and translation memory-tools. I feel that both my education and my work over the past years have given me a wealth of experience which could prove invaluable to you.
