I have a degree in Translation and Interpretation (Pompeu Fabra University, 2000), a master’s degree in Editing (Pompeu Fabra University, 2003) and a research master's degree in Language Studies (Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, 2016). My working languages are Portuguese, English, Spanish and Catalan.
I have been working as a freelance translator since 2001. During this time, my work has been focused on literary translation, journalistic translation, editing and lexicography. I have done Portuguese-Spanish dictionaries and I have coordinated translation projects for Spanish publishing houses entering the Brazilian market. I also translate for the Spanish journal El País.
I have also been working as a lecturer and academic coordinator at post-graduate courses in Translation and Teaching Spanish as Foreign Language (Universidade Gama Filho and Universidade Estácio de Sá, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) since 2003. |
