Followed the teaching of (Hasan) al-Bannah
It seems to me that the man means that the Palestinian guy went to Egypt first where he followed (Hasan) al-Bannah teachings. He left after that to Iraq to blow himself. The Group of Hasan al-Bannah is considered by some as an extremists group.

It must be a small village or neighbourhood.
