French term

cabinet

French to English Law/Patents Law (general)
Hi, I am translating a court summons and I am unsure about the term 'cabinet' in this context.

It appears at the top of the document:

CABINET grande instance (hand written)

and then throughout:

Mandons au sieur où M………..de comparaitre devant NOUS en notre cabinet: à………………….heures.

Fait à Kinshasa: en notre cabinet

I have found 'legal office' but I wasn't sure if this was referring to the court or chambers?

Thanks

Chambers

It is also my interpretation that it refers to the judge's office or chambers.
