Hi, I am translating a court summons and I am unsure about the term 'cabinet' in this context.
It appears at the top of the document:
CABINET grande instance (hand written)
and then throughout:
Mandons au sieur où M………..de comparaitre devant NOUS en notre cabinet: à………………….heures.
Fait à Kinshasa: en notre cabinet
I have found 'legal office' but I wasn't sure if this was referring to the court or chambers?
