Discussion

Laureana Pavon (asker) Feb 3, 2017:
Not a bank The customer is not a bank but a membership-based organization. I think the amounts due are membership fees and perhaps some other items
philgoddard Feb 3, 2017:
I'd ask the customer for clarification, but I think my suggestion is a strong possibility if the company is a bank. Current, deposit and securities are the three main types of account.
Laureana Pavon (asker) Feb 3, 2017:
No other documents The two letters are all I have. After listing the amounts due, it includes the auditors' details and "Muy agradecidos a su pronta contestación, nos es grato saludar a Usted(es) muy atentamente." That's it.
philgoddard Feb 3, 2017:
What other differences are there between the letters? Do they have different headings? Could this be a securities account, and the "documentos" are certificates?
Laureana Pavon (asker) Feb 3, 2017:
Two different letters That's because there are two different letters. I suppose they have two types of debtors.
philgoddard Feb 3, 2017:
I don't think it makes sense, and it may be a mistake.
How come you have two identical texts, except one says documentos and the other cuentas corrientes?

notes receivable

This is most likely another way to say "documentos por cobrar" - notes receivable
