My sentence (describing a simulator): "Designed to facilitate a 50/50 duty cycle during chest compressions".

Je comprends le sens global de "duty cycle" (Duty cycle is the portion of time spent in compression relative to total time of the compression–decompression cycle), mais je bute sur un terme validé ou largement employé en réanimation pour le traduire. Merci d'avance !

IATE has 22 definitions with translations for 'duty cycle', all from different technical fields: https://iate.europa.eu/search/result/1701288394263/1
but none for medical, esp. no term like 'phase de compression', meaning 'compression phase', what has nothing to do with duty cycle. 'Duty cycle' desigates the duration of the ON part of the full period in precent.

A duty cycle or power cycle is the fraction of one period in which a signal or system is active.[1][2][3] Duty cycle is commonly expressed as a percentage or a ratio.

À ma connaissance, il n'existe aucune traduction officielle du terme "duty cycle" en français. Il s'agit du ratio de compression thoracique.

La traduction que je propose est celle choisie par certains services préhospitaliers d'urgence au Québec. Au Canada on parle aussi de "taux de RCR", RCR désignant la réanimation cardiorespiratoire.
