Calling all Mexicans! As far as I know, this is an expression used exclusively in Mexico and I am uncertain as to the real meaning, in particular if it is rude or just coloquial and if there is an equivalent expression or how it would best translate into English. Thanks in advance.

I learned it in Mexico and have understood it in its contexts more this way. It DOES have an offensive connotation that "Get out of town" does not have.

However, it is also used kidding around by Mexican youth. I worked in an orphanage in DF for a month and heard this expression constantly. It is also used in Bolivia but with a much lighter connotation akin to \"No, that is a white lie! Come on, tell me the truth.\"

The closest US equivalent I can think of is "Nigga please..." Not racist in either US/Mexican Spanish but somewhat offensive depending on who's saying it.
