When a bank or creditor makes or grants a loan/credit it commits the amount of the loan/credit to the borrower until the loan commitment is fully disbursed. thus the borrower is drawing a committed amount from the total loan commitment as he needs such amount from time time until the total loan commitment is disbursed or drawn down.
