You should consider the following: size of wall area, size of Tile (incl. joints) and possible corresponding cutting surface. Avoid these as much as possible at highly visible areas as well as small pass pieces. Should it prove that these are inevitable when aligning the tiles, then consider installing the Tiles from the centre to the outside, so that there is a small uncovered/decorated part on both sides.

when one dimension of the surface being tilled is not an exact multiple of the tile size, you have to cut the last tile to fit the available space. That cut tile would be a "pass piece".
What is said here is to try first to put "pass pieces" in less visible places, and secondly to rearrange the tiles so that the "pass pieces" are not too small. For example is the last gap to fill is only 20% of the tile size, instead of one narrow "pass piece" on one side, cut on both side 40% from the last till, making it less ugly.
Or "consider installing the Tiles from the centre to the outside, so that there is a small uncovered/decorated part on both sides"
That's for sure what it is, could probably be translated in more than one way.
