English term

air power

"force aérienne" refers mostly to airforce/air force. Air power is a question of might, hence "puissance aérienne".
Often the term air power is used instead of air force, particularly in reporting, as the word is more dramatic and powerful. Hence, if the context imposes it, air power will have to be translated by "force aérienne".
