Engineering (general)
1. The certification is conditional on the provision of a process or flow control and/or temperature limiting
control and/or pressure control by the installer and/or user, which will de-energize the heater in the event of
process system malfunction.
2. The device with the lowest hazardous location rating governs the overall hazardous location designation.
3. The installer and user must ensure that the terminal enclosure and its stand-off are not lagged. (Thermally
insulated).

"hazardous location designation" is related to / comparable to / of the same kind as "hazardous location rating" i.e.rating of the level/types of hazards at the given location [created by the "device" located there]
What is "designated" is not the location, but the level/type of hazard (at the location) => determiner la Classification du type de danger
IOW
this location contains several devices, some more dangerous than other.
The whole zone/room/location will be rated/classified as being as dangerous as the most dangerous of the devices located inside the zone.
A variation on the idea that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link - here: the whole zone is to be considered as dangerous as the most dangerous device found in it
