English term

“safe synthetics”

English to Spanish Social Sciences Journalism Drugs and street drugs / media nomenclature-usage
Kids use so-called “safe synthetics” mixed with Schedule II narcotics.

The sentence is part of a short report/documentary on “drug usage”. Is there some specific Spanish nomenclature for “safe synthetics”.

I’d think something on the lines of “drogas sintéticas ‘seguras’”... with double and single quotation marks, because I am not sure at all.

I am asking the same for “Schedule II narcotics”... (a renglón seguido).

TIA!

Thank you. It's an idea... Thank you for the references. Ideally should be something somewhat "used" in Spanish, but anything that communicates clearly should work... :-)

I wonder if you could use "no nocivas". My understanding is that they are called "safe" because the kids think it wont hurt them...just a shot in the dark ;-)

Example sentence:

Nueva Zelandia permitirá la venta de drogas seguras

Global interest grows in New Zealand's designer drug law: You can sell them if they're safe
