Bulk runs

"Bulk runs does not involve as much lifting and it would be lighter work compared to doing bucket runs."

Explanation about a driving job, and there are two options: bulk runs and bucket runs. What would that be?

transportation of articles in buckets (skips)

I think this means the transportation of "bulk" goods (friable material, grain etc.) carried in large trucks, into which the material is simply poured. This is less work than "bucket" runs, in which a truck is loaded with a number of containers of some kind before being ready to depart.
