Examination grades
I have a list of examination grades for difference subjects which includes both terms angerechnet and anerkannt. I have always thought that both terms referred to 'transfer credits' However, is there a subtle difference here I should know about?
anerkannt 28.03.1995
sehr gut 28,06.1995
angerechnet 28,03.1995
anerkannt 28.03.1995

anerkannt-recognised/angerechnet- credits added or transferred
So the subjects are either recognised or their credit has been transferred. I am guessing this is about having certificates recognised by a foreign examination board? In England there is a points system whereas having English certificates recognised in germany is somewhat more complicated and it's a bit of an unclear system, mostly decided by an individual responsible for the matter...
Hope this helps!

Reference:
The sehr gut ref is a bit confusing as this is a grade, whereas anerkannt and angerechnet refer to the approval of courses/grades.
Agreeing with Anne regarding recognized for anerkannt, but angerechnet seems to be points that can be counted towards getting credits. Anyway, please see enclosed ref. Maybe that will help shed some light on the issue:o)
