The tricky part is of course the 'Vorlauf'- could be advance, move forward, forward run etc.-- there are many hits for beds featuring automatically 'raised' head and foot sections, but they describe a different type of motion.

It's got three motors so I suppose the frame/base is divided into three segments which can be adjusted more or less independently of one another (head, body and legs). I suspect that when the middle section is adjusted (Rückenverstellung), the head section moves too.
