IMO - as it's obvious that the conveyor "supports" the chipboard, I would use another translation of "Auflage" here which can also mean a charge (as in loading, feeding etc) or a run (as in an edition or "run" of newspapers, books etc (being fed) through a printing press. Auflage isn't always easy to translate in technical texts and (in this case too) often isn't even necessay.
