fire traces, fire path

I guess that "Brandspuren" is not really a problem:
Brand = fire
Spure = trace or trrack/trail. Here it is used in the sense of trace ie what shows that the fire was there (burns).

Trichter = funnel. I do not think it is possible to translate it here litterary. The meaning is the path that the fire preferably took. Example:
Between two floors, the only path is to go through the air ducts or along electrical cables or similar pathways. Along such a pass instead of moving slowly and on a wide surface the fire moves fast and on a small surface, just like the water in a funnel.
This is why I believe that the translation sould be
Brandtrichter = firepath
