German term

Aussenbereich

German to English Tech/Engineering Ships, Sailing, Maritime pleasure craft
"[Typ]: Grosszügig bis Acht

*Aussenbereich*: bei allen Typen"

Unfortunately, there's no other context; just a list of models and then this term. Suggestions? TIA

above deck area

This must be the area where you relax with your Martini...

"Above deck, directly over the main lounge, is a canopy-covered eating area that doubles as a sun deck and open-air lounge during the day. "

open space or outer area

Without context, this is the best I can suggest!

above deck

"above deck" with no elaboration.

"Aussenbereich" can't be translated as "outside" on a boat- you don't say "I'm going "outside"" because if you did, you would drown- "outside" is the sea.

Innenbereich- below deck. Not "inside"- if you go inside, you "go below"- sailors have their own language.
