I am working on a text rather than a site! I haven't seen the site either! Many thanks for your helpful suggestions. Ben

Benjamin: Since, we cannot see the actual homepage in question, your version of "section" is workable. However, as you know, many webpages (including sections of Proz.com)are designed with "Tabs" (either vertical or horizontal) that link to other sectin
Lagom (asker) Dec 28, 2005:
Tab does not sound good in this context. Thanks David, I would have used 'tab' if it was a menu item but in this context I believe that it describes as is often the case with a dynamic site/page a new topic opening in the same (parent) page. Do you have any suggestions for a common name for that?

Separate tab

In an IT context, FLIK means 'tab' as in a 'tab' in dialog box or a menu. I would say "under a separate tab".
