原文文本 - Portuguese葡萄牙语 O equilíbrio postural e a prática de desporto estão intimamente relacionados, pois um atleta que tenha um equilíbrio abaixo dos parâmetros de normalidade irá comprometer a execução da tarefa, que a sua modalidade assim o exige. Metodologia: Neste estudo, foram comparadas as respostas dos seguintes testes: mCTSIB, apoio unipodal, limites de estabilidade, entre desportistas de diferentes modalidades (natação, voleibol, futebol, remo e hóquei em patins) e indivíduos que não praticam exrecício físico. Foram também comparados os valores obtidos entre as diferentes modalidades desportivas, de modo a verificar qual o desporto que exerce maior influência no equilíbrio postural dos indivíduos. A amostra foi constituída por dez a quinze sujeitos de cada modalidade e sessenta e oito indivíduos que não praticam exercício físico. Objectivo: Com este estudo pretende-se analisar se a prática de exercício físico está ou não relacionada com uma melhoria no equilíbrio postural da população, comparando a resposta dos testes supra referidos entre desportistas e indivíduos não desportistas. Resultados: Comparando os grupos em estudo os desportistas apresentam melhor equilíbrio postural. Em relação ao alinhamento do COG o valor da média de ambos os grupos encontra-se dentro do mesmo quadrante. Quanto aos limites de estabilidade os desportistas obtiveram tempos de reacção menores e velocidades de movimento maiores. Por último, todas as modalidades comparadas entre si, apresentam resultados bastante próximos. Conclusão: É possível concluir que os desportistas apresentam um melhor equilíbrio postural, visto que apresentam resultados estatisticamente significativos, em relação aos não desportistas.

翻译文本 - English英语 Posture balance is intricately related to sports practice, since an athlete with below average balance will compromise the accomplishment of the tasks that a sport demands. Modus operandi: Throughout this research, answers from the following experiments were compared: mCTSIB, unipedal stance test, limit of stability, between athletes of different sports (swimming, volleyball, football, canoe and roller hockey) and individuals who do not engage in any type of sports practice. Results were also assessed between each sport’s practitioners, in order to gauge which sport exerts the most significant influence over an individual’s posture balance. Ten to fifteen athletes from each sport were selected to participate, along with sixty eight physically inactive adults. Objective: This experiment intends to evaluate the possible correlation between sports practice and amelioration in posture balance, through comparison of test results after the aforementioned experiments. Results: After evaluating said test groups, the sportsmen have shown better posture balance. Regarding COG alignment, both groups display an identical arithmetic mean. Concerning limits of stability, sportsmen attained quicker reaction times than sedentary individuals, along with swifter movement. Lastly, when comparing tests from each sport type, similar results were found. Conclusion: After assessments from the two groups, it is possible to conclude that sportsmen show better posture balance than non-sportsmen, according to noteworthy collected and collated results.
