German term

wie sonst kaum ein anderes Modell eine andere Marke

German to English Marketing Marketing / Market Research wristwatches
In an article talking about a wristwatch. I'm having trouble wording this (Friday...end of the week...fried brain).
YY = Watch manufacturer's name
XX = Name of their watch

"Zwei Gesichter hat seit den dreißiger Jahren auch das Antlitz der Uhrenmarke YY - im übertragenen Sinne: Die Wendeuhr "XX" hat die Geschicke der Manufakturmarke beeinflusst und ihr Ansehen geprägt **wie sonst kaum ein anderes Modell eine andere Marke**."

Thanks for any suggestions and have a great weekend all! :)

Here's your 'missing' verb: und ihr Ansehen geprgt wie sonst kaum ein anderes Modell eine andere Marke **geprgt hat**
Non-ProZ.com Jul 11, 2003:
no verb missing Hi e-rich,
I think that is what is confusing me as well (looks like a verb has been omitted). I've typed it as the published article has it though. :(

I don\'t see anything missing in your sentence, Jennie.

Since the 30s, the countenance of the YY watch brand has had two faces - in a figurative sense: the Wendeuhr \"XX\" has influenced the fate of the Manufakturmarke and has shaped its reputation as hardly any other model has shaped another brand.

how else can another model *become* an other brand

but something is missing in your original, a VERB. I have put in "become" for this verb but it would of course be much more helpful for you not to cut off the sentence at the very crucial spot.

disagree Ralf Lemster : The sentence is complete and makes perfect sense, I'm afraid
