with distinction

"Qualitätswein mit Prädikat translates crudely to "quality wine with distinction" or "quality wine with special attributes.""

This is hardly the best possible translation, but may give you a good hint as to what it is all about.

leave it and give an explanation

I would leave the term in German and just give an explanation in English along the lines of "wines of quality with distinction".

Qualitätswein mit Prädikat (QmP) is the highest quality category defined by the German wine laws adapted in 1971.

Prädikatswein

'Quality' is here too much - see link to the Austrian wine encyclopedia. For a "Prädikatswein" is quality a precondition!

wine made from selected grapes of specified maturity

is the rather long-winded definition given by Langenscheidt for "Qualitätswein mit Prädikat"

agree TonyTK : Maybe in brackets after the German or as an asterisk footnote if there's a list
