I graduated in Electrical Engineering in 1981 and joined IBM Brazil as a system analyst in Jan, 1982.

During my 18 years working in IBM and after, I've visited at least 20 countries in around 50 trips, most of them to the USA and Canada, more than 30 times.
I have lived once, in the 80's, for one year and half in Endicott, NY. At that time, IBM decided to implement in some selected countries a team to translate, localize and develop its softwares in those countries' native languages, and I was the one in charge with that job in Brazil, responsible to create and after to manage that group. I used to be responsible for translating and localizing softwares and all related material (manuals, screens, brochures, ads, etc...) from English to Portuguese, at the National Language Support department, which I have managed for 4 years.

When I quitted IBM, in 2000, I opened my own company, and since then, in my company and supporting another ones, my main role has been to represent foreign softwares in Brazil, mainly medical products. In addition, this means, many times, to translate all the involved material. My team and I are very used to use the available tools which help on that job, like SDL Trados.

Another relevant information, concerning to my personal life, is that I have married an American woman for 4 years.

During my all my professional life, I have always used to be a very professional, responsible and dedicated person, extremely careful with dates, targets and results.
