Bio
Since 1997 I have worked as a freelance translator and proofreader in English and Portuguese. I have translated papers, books, articles, contracts, tv scripts and so on in such diverse fields as science, education, history, psychology, mathematics, law, literature, petrol, and entertainment.
Many of the translated papers have been used in scientific meetings and/or been published.
Lately, most of my work has dealt with subtitling (working for a variety of agencies), both from English to Portuguese and Portuguese to English. I really enjoy it.
Apart from my translation practice, I also work at the Faculty of Psychology and the Institute of Education of the Lisbon University (FPIE-UL). Currently I am part of the Library team, mostly doing back-office. In 1996 I concluded a five-year Degree in Psychology.
