Georgo non-post Georgo: why not post your idea as an entry. Also referring to a contract for an amendment or alteration is not a problem in view of the statutory contract the Arts. of Incorp. etc. represents between the co. and its members: again s. 33 of the UK Companies Act 2006. So there is no need to omit it on a ref. forward to the 'social' variety.

Social Contract Tenho lido que Social Contract é um termo muito genêrico e não apropriado como tradução de "Contrato Social" que deveria ser, preferencialmente, "Articles of Organization" ou "Articles of Incorporation". Pensei em traduzir "Alteração Contratual e Consolidação do Contrato Social" assim: Amendment to contract and Consolidation to the Articles of Organization. Aguardo opiniões.

Amendment and Consolidation of the Articles of Association

After commenting on the other answers, it occurred to me that the Contrato being amended here is the Articles of Association itself. They are being amended and consolidated (or restated). This happens a lot - there may be quite a few amendments, or perhaps others were made previously, and it's a good idea to consolidate and present the entire updated text.

Contract Alteration and Restatement of the Articles of (AE) Incorporation

AE/Am. Eng. has been asked for. Memorandum AND Articles of Association is BE/Aussie etc. Arts. of Incorp. is US.

A looser Sharholders'-type Corporation Association Agreement shoud also be considered, as could be a Corporate Charter: www.proz.com/?sp=gloss/term&id=5652787

Standard UK/US co. law textbooks devote a whole chapter to alteration and not amendment of the Articles.

UK Acts of Parliament or of US Congress legislation can be consolidated. But I'm not sure a company's constitution can be: rather amalgamated, merged or restated post-alteration.

Fair comment. But I see a problem with 'consolidation' of non-legislation. Also, re contract alteration, Articles of (AE) Incorp. and (BE) Assoc. count as a contract between the members: s. 33 UK Companies Act 2006
