Me encuentro con este término en el siguiente contexto (informed consent for clinical trial):

• Blood samples will be taken (only if you have not had any standard of care blood samples taken in the last month). The blood samples that are drawn will be used to perform analyses that are typically part of your standard of care (hematology panel, serum chemistry panel, and serum iron profile).

¿Sería "perfil hematológico, perfil sérico químico y perfil de hierro sérico" o tal vez "perfil químico del suero" y "perfil de hierro en suero"?

@ azulbenito I realize there are other proposals on the table. However, you have included three terms which should be separate entries. As far as "serum chemistry profile", IMO it is: serum chemistry panel > perfil bioquímico (and this is supported by other ProZ entries).

Muchas gracias por su ayuda. Tengo una consulta: Se habla de "serum" y no "blood". ¿Es correcto entonces decir "análisis químico de sangre", por ejemplo, en lugar de "análisis químico de suero"?

lo que pasa es que lo que se toma para el análisis es el suero de la sangre, ya que la misma debe ser descompuesta en sus partes para ser analizada. Sin embargo, al referirte al examen en si, no es común decir "examen químico del suero de la sangre" sino más bien "examen químico de la sangre".
