This is a set of documents (in France) supporting an appeal by respondent to a decision to award child custody to petititioner.
One of the recipients of all the documents in the case is:
UEMO VOISINS LE BRETONNEUX SAINT QUENTlIN EN YVELlNES
This is not critical to the translation as I could simply leave it in French, but it annoys me that I don't know what it means and I can't work out what it is :-)
One of you out there must know...
I'd be grateful as always for your help.

The "Voisins" part goes with what follows; it's part of a place name:
"Voisins-le-Bretonneux is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voisins-le-Bretonneux
"La structure est précisément une unité éducative en milieu ouvert (UEMO)"
http://www.leparisien.fr/suresnes-92150/hauts-de-seine-plus-...
"The majority of educational work conducted by the PJJ [Protection Judiciaire de la Jeunesse] is mostly done in 275 open custody educational units [Unités Éducatives de Milieu Ouvert–UEMO], which are, moreover, less visible, commented on and studied. [...]
This study took place in an institution in a suburb of Paris I have called Villiers-sur-Oise for reasons of confidentiality. This open custody educational unit (UEMO) allowed me to observe its work for seven months between April and October 2010."

Note from asker:
Thank you! But the word "éducative" is generally dropped in English in child/juvenile child protection references. |
