An academic field of study and research mentioned by at least one of the participants in an anthropology/history/museum studies research study as his/her career. I have also seen it as a university department in the form "kulturoznawstwo," i.e., "Instytut Kulturoznawstwa UAM."
I know that it means something along the lines of "cultural studies scholar," but am wondering:
1) if there is a better, more accurate, or more commonly used translation;
2) what, if any, are the differences in connotation, implication, etc. between the Polish-language "kulturoznawstwo" and the English-language "cultural studies";
3) what would one call a person engaged in this field of study (i.e., how would one translate "kulturoznawcze" as it refers to a person)?

I'm a graduate of this course :). To my knowledge, cultural/culture studies is the only official translation of the Polish term "kulturoznawstwo".

cultural anthropology, history of culture
It should really be the first one, but form what I know, especially in the European context, it may be more of the history of culture, as a noun. As an adjective, you can create one from those, depending on the context.
