English to Ukrainian: EU Regulation on Organic Production
General field: Law/Patents
Detailed field: Agriculture
Source text - English
Organic production is an overall system of farm management and food production that combines best environ mental and climate action practices, a high level of biodiversity, the preservation of natural resources and the application of high animal welfare standards and high production standards in line with the demand of a growing number of consumers for products produced using natural substances and processes. Organic production thus plays a dual societal role, where, on the one hand, it provides for a specific market responding to consumer demand for organic products and, on the other hand, it delivers publicly available goods that contribute to the protection of the environment and animal welfare, as well as to rural development.

Data from the California state-mandated Pesticide Use Registry were then integrated into a geographic information system tool to assess prenatal (before birth) and infant exposures to 11 commonly used pesticides (measured as pounds of pesticides applied per acre/month within 2 km of their mother's residence during pregnancy and exposure during developmental periods defined as yes vs no).

These pesticides were selected because of their high use and evidence indicating toxic effects on brain development.

After adjusting for potentially influential factors, the researchers found modest increases in ASD risk among offspring exposed to several pesticides (including glyphosate, chlorpyrifos, diazinon, malathion, permethrin, bifenthrin and methyl-bromide) before birth and during the first year of life, compared with controls.

If you use Liberating Structures as a facilitator, you may find yourself bored with yet another Impromptu Networking, TRIZ or 1–2–4-ALL. It might feel more interesting to try something new or more complex structures, like Future~Present or Ecocycle Planning, to come up with your own structure or to dazzle groups with overly complex riffs and mashups. I know I do.
Or I did. During the Liberating Structures Learning Gathering in Hamburg, I discovered how this may instead be based on a misunderstanding of what Liberating Structures are. In this post, I will try to explain why.

ZERO OPERATION
1. After turn on the machine, an attention of “PLS Press Zero” will be displayed on the run menu, which reminds you that you did not made manual Zero Operation. As shown in chart 3-2-1. (Because when you turn on the machine, the auto zeroing control has made a zeroing to the hoppers which are actually not emptied yet in last operation, which will result in inaccurate zeroing). If zero success, it will show "Zero Finish", and all the load cell will be ready in 0.0 g as show on Chart 3-2-1.

Bio

Translator, Proofreader | Russian & Ukrainian native speaker, fully bilingual

14+ years as a full-time translator | Working with Ukrainian, Russian and English

  • Full-time translator in the Ultralight flying and Navigation equipment area since 1997
  • Full-time translator specialized in Oil and Lubricants Commerce and Manufacture in 1995 - 1997
  • Part-time translator specialized in a number of fields in 1986 - 1994

Looking back trying to figure out when my translator career began, I have to return as far back as to my high school years in the 1980s, when I fell in love with English as a whole and translation in particular and was eager to perform any English language-related tasks I was asked to do, mainly home assignments for senior schoolmates and University students, but sometimes also to translate articles from UK and US newspapers, English songs (that was still Soviet time, you know) and personal letters. Of course I tried to do some literature translations, although never tried to publish them.

I began my professional translator career in Kiev, Ukraine, in a UK-based company dealing with production of motor oils. Had extensive experience in translating statutory documents, commercial contracts, accounting documents and business letters.

The next step was to work at a Ukrainian company, one of the three world’s biggest manufacturers of hang gliding and ultralight flying gear. There I dealt with business correspondence, worked as the head of international customer and dealer support department, translated user manuals for the equipment we produced and interpreted for the company.

At the same period in my free time I worked as freelance translator, as translation is the thing I just love and enjoy doing. My main topics were GPS equipment manuals, microlight aircraft assembly manuals, household appliances manuals, social and political articles, reports, commercial contracts, packages of documents for child adoption, birth certificates, diplomas, business and personal correspondence, etc.

Since autumn of 2006 I have been working as a freelance translator. Although till now I've always enjoyed the people I used to work with and the work itself, translation is my love, my passion, something I am really fond of. The languages and the art of translation is what I always want to continue mastering.
