Hi all,
My first forum post in ProZ

I am rather new to Trados 2011 and I could not find a solution here or elsewehe on the web.

I am trying to change my concordance settings. From Tools > Options > Editor > Concordance search window, I can perform only limited changes.
Basically, I want to select a phrase in the TARGET segment (after I copy all source to target) and then perform a concordance search in the SOURCE by pressing F3.
I know that I can select from source and press F3, but this is rather impractical as I prefer to use the shortcut keys as much as possible.

TIA

Keyboard Shortcuts Apr 10, 2015

Hi Elif,

I think it's about changing shortcut keys. If you want to make source concordance when you are in the target segment, you may try changing or using "Source Concordance Search" from File > Options > Keyboard Shortcuts > Source Concordance Search.

Hope this helps.

It definitely worked Apr 10, 2015

Thanks, it definitely worked.

I didn't even think that there would be a "Source Concordance Search" shortcut at all and I was trying to define it by myself

Now I have a very useful shortcut..

You don't need to change your shortcut .. Apr 12, 2015

... because Studio has two shortcuts for concordance:

F3 searches in the language corresponding to the column your cursor is in
CTRL-F3 searches in source regardless of the position of your cursor.

I changed the shortcuts for convenience Apr 12, 2015

Yes, that is what I realized once I got into it. So I changed the shortcuts for my ease of operation only.

Thank you
