こんにちは、はじめまして。
先月、入会したばかりです、よろしくお願いいたします。
さて、Profile の Portfolio/Sample Translations 欄ですが、
どこから引用したらいいのか、悩んでいます。
実際の仕事で扱ったものは、NDA があるので使えませんし、
新聞や雑誌などは、著作権のことが心配です。
ご教示いただければ幸いです。

はじめまして。
私は、翻訳会社ではないところから私向けに用意された過去のトライアルと、ネットで見つけた記事の一部をPortfolio用に翻訳したものを載せました。記事については、できるだけ差しさわりのない一般的な内容かつ古いものを選び、全文ではなくほんの一部としています。

Nozaki-san,
I'm interested in finding a solution to the same problem. One idea is to contact a non-profit organization and ask if they would like to have a web page translated for free, on the condition that you get to use the original and translation as samples. Or, you can partner with another translator and each write a short piece for the other to translate. I'm looking for some Japanese writing to translate into English. Would you like to do a 原稿 exchange?

Well, I wonder how you could verify my sample paragraphs do not violate any NDAs or copyright laws.
As long as ProZ.com encourages its members to post their Portfolio/Sample Translations on their Profile, it should provide sample paragraphs for them.

In addition, ProZ.com should keep their sample paragraphs up-to-date in such an ever-changing world and its members should regularly update their Portfolio/Sample Translations accordingly. Otherwise it would get out of fashion soon and therefore less appealing shortly.

私も同じ疑問を感じてました。
たくさんのサンプルを載せている人もいらっしゃいますから、ただ漠然と「あったほうがいいのかなあ？」と思うのですが。
会社によっては短いトライアルを送って来る所もありますしね。
これも漠然とした印象ですが、quoteを送った会社がプロフィールを見てるかどうかも謎ですね。
びっくりするようなrateに値切られて呆然とする事も多々ありますし。
