Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the opening of Early-bird registration for the annual EUATC International conference at www.euatc.org.

The EUATC’s annual rendez-vous is in South-Eastern Europe this autumn (15/16 October). Our international conference will be hosted by BAPITA, the Bulgarian association of translation companies, in Sofia, one of the oldest cities in Europe. Its architecture is a combination of Neo-Baroque, Neo-Rococo and Neo-classicism, with a Vienna Secession influence. A number of ancient Roman and Byzantine buildings have also been preserved in the city and its outskirts. Most notably, the 10th century Boyana Church, one of the UNESCO World Heritage protected sites.

This annual event is a wonderful opportunity for networking, one of the secrets of success in business, and exploring one of the newest members of the EU (Bulgaria joined in 2005). Nothing can replace face-to-face communication as a sound basis on which to build cooperation agreements and business partnerships. The conference is a unique gathering of Translation Companies and translators from Europe and other continents.

We look forward to welcoming you in Sofia.

Nikolay Lazarov
President of BAPITA
Bulgarian Representative at EUATC
