You mean upgraders will actually get something for their money?! Feb 9, 2006

Hi all,
I checked with SDL Trados Support:

When SDL Trados 2006 is released it will be a complete package containing both Trados Workbench 7.5 and SDLX 2006.

Hope this answers a few questions.

Best regards,
Ralf

Thanks Ralf!!! Now that I know I'll actually get something new by paying the upgrade fee, I think I'll go for it.
Much obliged!
Colm

PS (added later) how about a group buy for upgrades 7.1-75? I've created a wish list item in the proz.com group buy site. Please show your interest!

cheap upgrade Feb 9, 2006

Hello Colm,

you said that you already own SDL 2005 where you can have a rather cheap update to SDL Trados 2006. The upgrade from Trados 7.0 to 7.1 would free. The only question is if it's worth waiting when you want to upgrade from Trados 6.5 to the new ovall version.

IMHO wait and upgrade from SDLX 2005.

Cheers
Noe
