The water-cooled compressor is directly connected to the public water supply or a private water source.
To avoid condensation in the compression chamber – and the risk of water knock at the restart (which can damage the equipment and piping) – an (automated) valve that shuts off the water flow has to be installed.
This valve is to be installed in the cooling water inlet piping and switched on and off together with the compressor motor, so that the coolers will not be subjected to water pressure during the entire stop time.

I rumori che emettono le tubature possono essere svariati, se il suono sembra quello di un martello che colpisce un tubo detto comunemente “colpo d’ariete” per il suono martellante che emette, il rumore è generato dall’acqua che colpisce una valvola chiusa e che quindi non riesce a defluire. Quindi, il “colpo d’ariete” si verifica quando vi è un significativo cambiamento di velocità all’interno del tubo.
