Chinese to English
Art/Literary
Architecture
Beijing Siheyuan architectural term
Also known as 后罩房, but 后罩楼 indicates that it is a two-story structure (or higher). Typically found in a siheyuan (四合院).
Here is a description/definition from 百科:
Based on this, I can describe it -- signification of its location, etc. -- for the reader of my literary translation. But I am looking for the actual term normally used to express the name of this structure in English.

Thanks. It is a "normal" answer that I think fits perfectly the original request, but the Asker has changed to a "romantic" request. Don't know what's next to come. Something "mysterious"? :)

Inner quarters
I think in the Forbidden City, the women's part was called the inner palace.

: that sounds very royal but be careful when you use 'the women's part' that could lead P.K. to think of something else. :)
