First of all, I apologize if this question has been asked many times. I am a new user of SDL Trados 2009, and coming from OmegaT I have to say that I am a bit lost when it comes to TM searching.
I found that the feature I wanted was called "Concordance search". I type the expression I want to look up, choose if I want to look in the source or the target, and a lot of results come up.

I found that the feature I wanted was called "Concordance search". I type the expression I want to look up, choose if I want to look in the source or the target, and a lot of results come up.
Problem: what is performed is a case-insensitive *keyword search*. OmegaT, for instance, provides many options when searching the TM (including keyword or full-expression search, case sensitivity, and the like). I cannot believe that such a widely used piece of software as Trados cannot provide the same options.
So I would like to ask:in SDL Trados 2009, how can I search the TM for an exact expression (not as keywords) and choose the case sensitivity ? ▲ Collapse

Hi Michael,
It's very simple. You highlight the expression (no matter in target or source) and then with a right click choose "Concordance search" from the drop down menu. There you can go for additional options (case sensitive or not).
Regards,
Maria

I did what you suggest, but I cannot find the options you mention anywhere.. and the search performed is still a keyword search, which gives me too many irrelevant results.
