I love language and have a passion in storytelling. I always want to make sure that texts, video games and other media products are accessible to as many people as possible, and that they have the biggest possible impact on their intended audience. Flowing sentences, realistic dialogue and language that can be understood by everyone are my biggest priorities.

I have been working in localization and subtitling for over ten years. I work as a freelancer for the Dutch agency Local Heroes, where I localize and subtitle video games. NDAs prevent me from speaking openly, but I can say I have worked on subtitles and menu texts for multiple big and smaller games.

I worked at RTL Nieuws for five years, one of the biggest news organisations in The Netherlands. I worked there as an editor, but also had to create Dutch subtitles for all outgoing videos, from Dutch and English.

Furthermore, I work as a freelancer dubbing translator for Iyuno, translating the scripts for animated shows. This has further bolstered my creative writing skills.

I have been raised bilingually and attended a bilingual high school, so I know my way around both Dutch and English. Dutch is my native language and I am a near-native speaker in English, meaning I can do translation and back translation in this language pair.

I have a background in journalism, but have been looking to move my career more towards creative writing and localization.
