... will he ever hear anything but "I don't understand a single word of what you're saying!" when he tries to describe the perils of his tools, platforms and projects to his family members?

I find it so funny that as soon as I am "the translator" people immediately cease to understand me. Communication eating its children!

Hey, Alejandro, another "misadventure" for your comic strip! | May 3, 2009 |
Have you ever happened to be in the same situation...?

Congratulations on your creativity, I like all the strips, especially Love in Translation, with the girl bored to death while he explains the nature of his work and the unexpected final line. I find this strip...poetical! All the best to you, please keep posting your work, it is nice to see one's little represented professional identity recognized ad analized. Ciao ciao I like the one posted by Tadzio too!

Your strips are just great and so true at the same time. You made my day I know it requires time, but not many of us have the talent required to be so creative. Therefore, I hope that you will find the time to give us some more. I have already added your blog to my RSS fee reader. All the best!

Thank you - New post | May 4, 2009 |
Sze K. Aka Chan, Maria, Ilary, Fiona, Undalina and Kristina: Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm surprised and very happy with all the positive feedback received and I hope to find the time to create more regularly. I just posted a new strip and also added a widget so visitors can now rate each one. Tadzio, thank you for the new "misadventure". I know that type of situation!

Simply great! | May 4, 2009 |
Great work, Alejandro! And I especially appreciated your attention to details: e.g., Pam's and Calvo's chair, desk, etc. are much better than Mox's! So... looking forward to reading nex strips!!! barbara

Not as many details as I would like | May 4, 2009 |
I'm glad you noticed, Barbara! Given my limited drawing skills, it is not easy to give attention to details. I suppose that practice will help, though.
I'm already a fan of Calvo, he makes me laugh. And my top three favorites right now are: 1. The "mot juste" (wonderful way of illustrating the words!) 2. Translation in Love 3. 48 hours without sleep (because I just did that the other day ) You should create an ultimate evil character (not my Calvo) that embodies the composite evil forces of automatic translation tools. ... The possibilities are endless
