people seem to think that 'business person' is automatically a pejorative term - it's just a term for what we all do every day if we are serious about the profession. I have translation skills, but going into business as a translator involved developing a further set of skills - negotiation, price-setting, time/job management, etc.

I'm not sure I think of myself primarily as a business person (the subject of the poll) but those skills are certainly essential to what I do.
