One of the organizations I was keeping an eye on since this forum was created was the Daesan Foundation, aimed at fostering Korean culture and globalizing Korean literature. Every year, it offers grants for 1.) the translation of Korean literature, 2.) the translation of world classics into Korean, and 3.) Grants for Korean literature studies overseas (including translation and publication).

The Daesan Foundation website aims to serve as Korea's window to the world, and conversely, the world's window into Korean culture.

Since it seems they do not announce their competitions in advance on their website, interested parties would do well to contact them directly and bookmark their pages. ▲ Collapse
