Vocabulary, use of anglicisms, literal vs contextual or functional translation Sep 28, 2010

Spanish is having a lot of anglicisms and loans from other languages. These conspire against a better use of the Spanish language.
Beside there are people that hold that once you select a word you must stick to it throuout the whole text, without synonimy . Others say that better a close translation than a nicer one. What about interpreting what is written and they write it in a clear and more readable Spanish?
