Creating a TM from sdlxliff files Thread poster: Fernando Toledo

In Trados 2007 you can create a new TM just cleaning TTXs from different projects, no matter where they are (of course with the appropriate languages). It is possible to do the same with Studio 2009? Thank you | | | Walter Blaser Switzerland Local time: 12:21 French to German + ... Yes, you can import SDLXLIFF or TTX | Mar 28, 2011 |
You can import a TTX or a SDLXLIFF file directly into a 2009 TM (.SDLTM). Walter | | | can you import several sdlxliff into the same TM? | Mar 29, 2011 |

I made the test for one sdlxliff into an empty TM only thanks Hi Marie, You can import as many SDLXLIFF, TTX, ITD, TMX (and SDLTM if you use the upgrade route) as you like. All of one type of file, or a mixture, just as long as you have the correct languages for the TM your are importing into. Regards Paul | |

It is possible to do the same with Studio 2009? Many years too late, but still an answer: SDLXliff2Tmx Current version is 1.1.3 Exports SDLXLIFF files to a TMX and optionally a Text file. SDLXliff2Tmx reads a number of Trados Studio Bilingual Files (*.sdlxliff) and creates a TMX Translation Memory (*.tmx) from the translated strings they contain. The user can select strings to be excluded, based on their status, being locked or having identical source and target segments and can optionally remove formatting information (tags). In addition the user can also save the exported strings in a tab delimited text file. Once installed, you can find SDLXLIFF2Tmx in your programs (All Programs-> SDLXliff2Tmx) where you will then load a stand alone app to work with outside of Trados Studio. A help guide is also included. | | | Stepan Konev Russian Federation Local time: 13:21 English to Russian SLDXLIFF to SDLTM | Mar 23, 2023 |
