don't know if it makes a difference Jun 10, 2010

I was a referee for years and at one time lived in Cyprus and refereed matches involving Cypriot teams. Now my Greek wasn't very good but the amount of Greeks i sent off for using abusive langauge was amazing. Why? Because there is no point calling the referee a *&%^&*( if he doesn't understand what you are saying so they very kindly did all their swearing and insults in English.
