Law (general)
Swiss court case filing
This is a document from a Swiss court case.
It looks like the plaintiffs brief or pleadings. However it is on the law firm's letterhead, in the form of a letter to the court. The heading is Plädoyernotizen.
Sounds like Pleading Notes.
Is there a standard translation for this term? Pleading Memorandum?

outline submissions (US) summation or memoranda of pleadings
In the UK, I think this would be called 'skeleton pleadings', but we need to careful about the overtones of 'skeletons in the (family) cupboard' for non-UK use.
Quaere the French equivalent of note(s) de plaidoirie: 'written submission(s) summaris/zing Counsel's address' FHS Bridge, Council of Europe FRE/ENG Glossary.
Not necessarily closing submissions.

You are welcome. I'm glad I was derailed from the 'closing address' siding, though with not enough time to pick the brains of your namesake: my US-born and French-speaking student friend, Peter Weiss, still lawyering in Downtown London's West End.

: It's a document in an ongoing case so this doesn't work, nor does a literal translation

written pleadings
I am fairly sure this is the meaning of Plädoyernotizen

: I cannot see the whole 'bundle' of pleadings being delivered to the court in a single letter

The written pleadings is a document of theoretically any length. Dont mix up pleadings with the case materials, pleadings are what one Party asks the court to decide (in their favour). Not more than that, usually a couple of pages. I've had them before.

This does not mean, however, that counsel should approach the lectern with no oral argument notes or outline. Although a few advocates are able to present effective arguments without reliance on notes, most find that an outline or list of points is essential to assure continuity in the argument[…]
