طرح السوءال في المنتدي الفرنسي و اود ان اتعلم تجربتكم الشخصية علما بان الاجوبة تتراوح بين 250- 300 كلمة في الساعة و مدة العمل اليومي بين 7 - 8 ساعة

That is the average in my experience.

المسألة تتاعق يا اخي بنوعية الترجمة بالدرجة الاولى ، اذا كان النص سهل القراءة ةالفهم فعلى الدنيا العفاء يمكن للمرء ان يترجم اكثر من 400 كلمة في الساعة واذا تعلق الامر بنص صعب يتطلب منك التجول في القواميس اللغوية للبحث عن المعنى المطلوب وادخاله في سياق النص. اما المسالة الثالثة فتتعلق بتخصصك وتجربتك مع تلك الترجمات.
اتمنى بان اكون قد اعطيت وجهة نظري والمسالة فيها نظر

I agree with the suggested average Oct 1, 2009

I usually work off between 250-350 words per hour from Arabic to English. However on occasions a very difficult text has dropped the rate to about 150 and a very simple text may up it to 450. Though I don't think i have ever had a translation where i could produce 450 per hour for a full 8 hours.
I do think that 250-350 is sustainable for that time.

That gives 2000 to 2800 words a day on average. Which isn't bad but sometimes people still want more.

I forgot to mention that the indicated word count is the English word count, not the Arabic word count, which is typicall smaller (the phrase "A Tale of Two Cities" translates to a two-word phrase in Arabic). This is regardless of direction.
