So your wife will arrive at nr 5?
Jan 15, 2007
So this is your planning?
1. sleepless nights.
2. clients often call at weird hours
3. postpone my morning bath
4. suddenly client calls you and asks for clarifications
5. spend time with the wife
Ahem, I think nobody will be crazy enough to spend time with a workaholic....
...but with a bit of planning you could probably set some boundaries in your busy life and start selling :" No" to your clients in order to make time for the important thing... See more

If your customers are satisfied, I'm sure they will not mind if you take a bath or have breakfeast from time to time....
Hi everyone, I recently started to live with my boyfriend which is not too far from being married.
I still don't have enough work to say i'm too busy to keep up with a family life but i think the major problem here is to have a parten smart enough to understand that yes, you are home but basically you are not. It's just like being away in the office so it's impossible to run the whole house and work at the same time.

It's just like being away in the office so it's impossible to run the whole house and work at the same time.
Being a freelance has the unconvenient to have ups and downs: "ups", you can be home and take care of everything and "downs" the next day you have to stay up 'til 3 am to finish a rush job. "Ups" because one month you get to have a good amount of work and then some nice money and "downs" because maybe you won't the next month, which i personallly think it's worse when you are a man..
This whole uncertain situation makes me shake everytime i think about it. Mortgage and bills and supermarket, well, with a single thin wage is hard to keep up, I often think I should find myself a nice job somewhere and have that CERTAIN bunch of hundreds of euros waiting for me each month on my paycheck..
Unfortunately, I guess we have a passion and we just have to pursue it.
A tip that might be of help is to find yourself a room in your house where to work, your own "office". It s something i still don't have and that i used to have and i definately miss my own space. Concentration was so much better..
But i guess love adjusts everything..:)
It's so good to work at home, I would never change it!
